Where Can One Still Find Good Value in the Inflated Paris Marketplace?
Walking Neighborhoods in Paris That Still Have Good Values:
1. avoid the arrondissements that touch the Seine if you want value for your money
2. 8eme – “Europe” the triangle at the very North end of the arrondissement
3. 9eme – all of it
4. 10eme – Southern portion only near the “elbow” of the Canal St. Martin; not West of Magenta and not East of the canal; avoid all Gare
5. 11eme – inner 1/3 only
6. 12eme – inner 1/3 only
7. 17eme – western 2/3’s only; avoid Avenue Clichy
8. 18eme – SW quadrant of the arrondissement only; varies street by street -- get expert advice
The "second tier" arrondissements on the Left Bank also have good values.
